Transgenic Plants

Transgenic plants, that are genetically altered are those, whose DNA is changed  using rDNA  techniques. In most cases the aim is to introduce an attribute to the plant that doesn't occur naturally in the species. Examples embody resistance to pests, diseases or environmental conditions, or the availability of a particular nutrient or pharmaceutical agent
