Precision agriculture is an approach to farm management that uses information technology to make sure that crops and soil receive exactly what they have for optimum health and productivity. The goal of Precision agriculture is to make sure profitability, sustainability and protection of the environment. Precision agriculture is additionally referred to as satellite agriculture, as-needed farming and site-specific crop management. The goal of precision agriculture research is to define a choice network for whole-farm management with the goal of optimizing returns on inputs while preserving resources.
