He received Ph.D. from Mississippi State University, Mississippi, U.S.A, in Agronomy –from Plant and Soil Department. And Master degree in Environmental Science from College of Science, United Arab Emirates University, U.A.E. Since December 25, 2005, he is working as an Associate Professor of Agro-ecosystem and Environmental Plant Physiology with the Department of Aridland Agriculture, College of Food and Agriculture at the United Arab Emirates University. his research interests include the Water Conservation Strategies in the Aridland with special emphasis on Nano-Sand Technology of Water Conservation in irrigated agriculture, Global Change Biology and Food Security. He is still a member of American Society of Agronomy, U.S.A Since 2002. His contributions to the research and service include serving as a member of Scientific Research and Graduate Council in United Arab Emirates University from September 2006 to September 2017. He was a consultant to Emirates Foundation as Environment Manager in Environmental Program. He served as a Member of the Scientific Group for International Datepalm Conference in 2010, 2014 and 2018.
